Privacy Policy

Sabir Digital Academy ("we", "our", "us") provides an online learning application ("the App") that lets students access pre-recorded course videos, learning materials, and support. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: name, email, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), phone number, date of birth, gender, and address.
• Profile media: profile photo, if you choose to upload one.
• Payment information: payment receipt number and screenshot you upload when submitting a course purchase for review. We do not see or store full card / bank credentials.
• Course activity: courses you have enrolled in, module completion progress, and time spent.
• Communications: chat messages between you and our admin/support team, and feedback or testimonials you submit.
• Technical data: device type, OS, app version, IP address (from server logs), and basic connection logs.

2. Why we use it

• To create and operate your account and authenticate you.
• To unlock and stream courses you have purchased.
• To verify payments you submit and grant access after admin approval.
• To respond to support requests sent via in-app chat or email.
• To send transactional emails (e.g. password reset OTP).
• To prevent fraud and abuse and to keep the service reliable.

3. Where data is stored

• MongoDB Atlas — account and course data.
• Cloudflare R2 — uploaded media (videos, thumbnails, profile photos, payment screenshots). Videos are served via short-lived signed URLs.
• Brevo — used to deliver transactional emails (e.g. password reset).
• Render — hosts our backend service.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers listed above, strictly to operate the App, and only as needed. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our legal rights.

5. Security

Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes (we never store plain-text passwords). All traffic is over HTTPS. Video files are accessed via short-lived signed URLs. No system is perfectly secure; we work to protect your data using industry-standard measures.

6. Your rights

• Access and update your profile from within the App.
• Request account and data deletion (see "Account Deletion" below).

7. Account deletion

You can delete your account from inside the App (Profile → Delete Account), which permanently removes your profile, enrollments, payments, testimonials, notifications, and chat history. You can also request deletion from a browser without the App:

Some records (e.g. anonymized payment/transaction records) may be retained for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons for up to 7 years where required by applicable law.

8. Children

The App is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced in the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
